Romantic Reads

Hi lovelies,

Valentine's Day might be over but "love is on the air". While you might have had your share of Valentine's Day dinner and lunch dates, strawberries and champagne, everything heart shaped, lovely lingerie and what not, romance has filled the air and hearts of everyone. What better way to keep it going than a romantic read.

I managed to pick my TOP FIVE favorite books and thought of sharing these with you. If you have already read any of these how did you find them? Do drop in your comments.

1. How To Fall In Love
by Cecelia Ahern
Available on Amazon @ £ 6.99
http://www.amazon.co.uk/How-Fall-Love-Cecelia-Ahern/dp/000735049X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1392571114&sr=1-1&keywords=how+to+fall+in+love
She has just two weeks. Two weeks to teach him how to fall in love - with his own life. Adam Basil and Christine Rose are thrown together one late night, when Christine is crossing the Ha'penny Bridge in Dublin. Adam is there, poised, threatening to jump. Adam is desperate - but Christine makes a crazy deal with him. His 35th birthday is looming and she bets him that before then she can show him that life is worth living. Against the ticking of the clock, the two of them embark on wild escapades, grand romantic gestures and some unlikely late night outings. Slowly, Christine thinks Adam is starting to fall back in love with his life. But is that all that's happening...? A novel that makes you laugh, cry and appreciate life.

2. A Lover's Dictionary: A Love Story in 185 Definitions
by David Levithan
Available on Amazon @ £ 5.59
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lovers-Dictionary-Love-Story-Definitions/dp/0007377991/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1392571761&sr=1-1&keywords=The+Lover%27s+Dictionary%3A+A+Love+Story+in+185+Definitions
How does one talk about love? We are all beginners when it comes to love, from those tentative first dates to learning how to live with, or without, someone. David Levithan's A Lovers Dictionary starts where we all once started - with the alphabet. Constructing the story of a relationship as a dictionary, Lavithan explores the intimacy and works of love through his nameless narrator, to paint a moving portrait of love through everyday words. Cleverly using the confines of language to provide an intimate window into the great events and quotidian trifles of being part of a couple, Levithan gives us an indelible and deep moving portrait of love in our time.

She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick. What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing that what's coming is what keeps her sane. Will Traynor know his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels so small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that. Valentines Day Wedding Theme

Looking to make your wedding truly romantic?

What could be better or more romantic than having it on the Valentines Day! With special details your Valentines Day wedding theme can reflect the romance of your love story.

Since Reds & Pinks are the official colors of Lovers' Day, try incorporating these in your wedding without overdoing it. Look for aspirations from your own love story, how you met, where you met. On your reception create room for romance by using a lot of candle light and linen with silky sheen finish. Throw some faux fur pillows for the lounge or snack bar to create a comfy, cosy ambiance. Splashes of soft pink light will definitely warm up your surroundings. Roses are the flowers of Valentines but if you do not wish to go for Roses all around Amaryllis can be dramatic and gorgeous at the same time. Red Calla Lillies and Cockscomb can equally wonderful! Same goes for your wedding bouquet. When it comes to selecting your cake get as creative as you can. I love these cakes loaded with adorable hearts. It's more than likely that your first dance song will be a love song. But to keep the mood romantic all night long ask the invited couples to share their first dance songs and compile a playlist to honor your guests too.

Keeping all this in mind, I picked a few of my favorite photos from my Pinterest board: Wedding Ideas that I know you would love!

Enjoy! xoxo

A Cosy, Flaming Romance | Glade Scented Candle

Like a candle
your love shines in my heart...

Glade Relaxing Zen Scented Candle

So you thought Winters were over & it was about to bloom everywhere - think again. If you're someone like me who's suffering-from-the-cold-weather that has hit London recently you might want to consider phychological ways to keep warm too, lol!

I am a big fan of candles, scented or not. I personally see candles as a way to warm up the ambiance of your room & living. They transmit a soothing, calm effect in your surroundings. Most of all, candles are SO ROMANTIC! Candles & scents create the most romantic atmosphere.
Glade Relaxing Zen Scented Candle

This post is not actually an official review of Glade candles but maybe in a way it is. This pretty little jar of wax & wick was a gift from a very very special person. Glade's Relaxing Zen comes in a really pretty jar of greenish-yellow with a pattern around it. Over this pattern it has a swirly gold  pattern going all around it. I placed it on the wall shelf in my room where I usually keep all my jewelry & make up stuff I use frequently.

Once lit the delicate fragrance is released which is mild & not at all overpowering. The little flame melted the wax and set a soft, warm romantic setting. I kept watching it while I was laying in bed with lights down low & couldn't help praising how this tiny glow was helping me unwind. There is something about the dim flickering light of candles which is just plain awesome. Ever wondered why candle light dinners are so romantic? :)

This special candle will forever conjure up beautiful memories in my mind...
