Aisle Style Collection 2016 Bridesmaid Dresses

Hi lovelies,

I cannot begin to say how excited I am about today's post! How many of you pretty ladies would admit that they always dream of that perfect fairy tale wedding day! While the wedding gown has and will always remain on top of THE most desired item of your big day, looking for bridesmaid dress is an equally challenging job that would definitely give you a few sleepless nights. And before you even begin to think that you have ample amount of time to search for those perfect bridesmaid dresses, the big day will be just around the corner! I have personally experienced this on my sister's wedding where I could not get everything done even an hour before the wedding reception. In the end ,I attended the reception without having any nail polish on and makeup retouches - imagine that!

Now, you may have your own preferences of how you and your girls would want to shortlist that perfect bridesmaid dress, let me make this task as easy as it can get. There are plenty of online stopovers that you may already be aware of but Aisle Style is one place that definitely has a lot more to offer than what is already out there. This unique website offers you a wide range of gorgeous bridesmaid dress (along with wedding gowns, prom dresses and evening dresses) that are worth every penny!

I have gone through the entire website and I must say the pages and layout are so user-friendly. You will find your desired dress in just a few clicks by simply clicking on your preferences. At Aisle Style you will come across dresses that suit your personal style, from various silhouettes, hemlines and trains to necklines and embellishments. You can also choose different styles from chic and modern, to glamorous and dramatic, to even country and rustic themed dresses. I love the embellishments on almost every gown. These are not only beautiful crystal broaches and crystal detailing but also lace and sashes with appliques and my all-time favorite beads and sequins! Not only this, you get to pick from beautiful contemporary shades of colors along with traditional ones. Each dress is made with craftsmanship and details that will give you not just a beautiful bridesmaid dress but also something that you can re-wear later on as well therefore adding more value to your purchase. Having said that, I did a little search and rounded up a few show-stopping bridesmaid dresses from Aisle Style that I absolute loved!

Vincci | My Recent Favorite Shoe Brand

Hi lovelies,

Well.. I have never done a post on the shoes I wear. Not because I feel it's odd or because it's not something I would like to write about but mostly because I never got a chance. However, I recently purchased a few pairs from a brand named Vincci and could not help sharing a few photos with all of you. Vincci is a Malaysian brand that pushes the boundaries in footwear by introducing hot, off-the-runway styles. It creates high quality and trendy shoes, bags, sunglasses and fashion accessories with an affordable price tag.

What really inspired me to write a post about Vincci shoes was this most recent pair that I purchased for me sister's big day - her wedding! These are formal party sandal in soft pink and has peep toes with beautiful tone of silver lining and almost 4" heels in polished gold. In case you had the chance to manage a wedding you would know it is such a happening event. I being the all-in-one event manager had the least of time on my schedule to focus on ME! All I remember was that I put on my dress and these lovely pair of shoes and believe it or not I was running around - literally in these! Super comfy, soft lining and great finish, these were like Cinderella's slippers, everyone noticed and couldn't help praise.

I had purchased two Vincci pairs before as well. One black slip-on party sandals that I wore to The Body Shop Red Musk Fashion show and another short heel peep toes in shade of blue and beige I wore to a formal dinner. Both pairs are super chic and so comfortable to wear. I have worn all three pairs at least once or twice now and cant thank myself enough for choosing the best ones for each occasion. Do check these out next time you come across a Vincci store.

The Stunning Monica Vinader Jewelry!

Hello Lovely ladies,

Jewelry says a lot about who we are. People can wear a single piece of jewelry for a life time, like wedding bands without taking it off. It become a part of them. I'm not too fond of wearing regular jewelry pieces. In routine days I'd prefer to wear my favorite watch instead of a bracelet. I'd leave my earlobes empty instead of wearing those ear studs. I've put my gold chain in my jewelry box where I like it most. But having said all this I still need to mention I love contemporary jewelry. Even though traditional, more basic jewelry designs are very elegant at times but if I had to choose I'd pick a more modern, contemporary design.

I have long loved the looks of Tiffany Keys Necklaces but I recently came across a label that took my attention. The first time I saw Monica Vinader jewelry I was stunned. The designs are absolutely beautiful! I was so impressed that I thought I would share this on my blog though I haven't done a jewelry post ever or even own any piece from this brand yet.

Monica Vinader's award winning jewelry is oozing with understated glamour. The label is inspired by the Spanish designer's passion for gems and pearls, nature and travel. Launched in 2002 the vision was to create beautiful jewelry that was affordable. I am in love with her iconic luxury friendship bracelets. Some of these bracelets are set in Sterling Silver which are very cute but I particularly like the ones in 18ct Gold Plated on Sterling Silver and studded with precious gems. All these bracelets are elegant pieces of jewelry and hold a grown-up feel that is modern and sophisticated. But the collections are not limited to bracelets. These include rings, pendants, necklaces and pendants too. Perfectly bridging the gap between fashion and fine jewelry, Monica Vinader's eponymous brand has garnered a cult following! The jewelry is simple yet striking.

My Personal Favorites & Top Picks!

*BRACELETS*

I have so many favourites from Monica Vinader collections but I love the Rio and Fiji collection which are also one of the brand's most popular collection. I love these bracelets because they are playful yet sophisticated version of friendship bracelets. I'm sure everyone in their teens went through a friendship band phase and it's so embedded in our memories. These bracelets bring those memories back in a grown up style. The difference between the two is that Fiji Friendship Bracelets have a luscious curve of 18 karat yellow gold vermeil an adjustable, vibrantly colored silk cord while Rio Friendship Bracelets is a composite of 18 karat gold vermeil balls wrapped with twined silk. Both are super gorgeous!

Another favorite of mine from the Fiji Collection of bracelets is the iconic Fiji Chain Friendship Bracelet. These bracelets have a sleek chain instead of the silk cord along with the original clasp for smooth fastening. I love the rose gold plated bracelets from this collection which looks chic worn with multiple bracelets. These bracelets make the perfect gift for friends. If you fancy diamonds then Fiji Full Diamond Chain Friendship Bracelet is the ultimate piece for you. The bracelet is either Sterling Silver, Gold or Rose Gold plated and the bar is luxuriously set with pave diamonds.

*EARRINGS*
My most favorite earrings have to be the Riva Diamond Cocktail Earrings. These are super chic, two tiered wire drop earrings are perfect for both day and night. I'd love to wear these on formal dinners and also would look gorgeous on romantic nights. Encased in 18 ct Gold Plated Vermeil on Silver Sterling the delicate diamond pave hoops and organic shaped multi-faceted Lemon Quartz look absolutely stunning and glamorous. Riva collection is inspired by shoreline and glamour of Italian Riviera. It relates to the flowing, wave like setting of gems that give this collection a distinctive look.

*RINGS*
Just like everything else from Monica Vinader jewelry it is so hard to choose which rings I like most. There is a large collection of rings to choose from. The rings and bands are contemporary yet classic. Each ring is unique by virtue of different stone variation that make up the band. I love how different gems like Amethyst, Green Chrysoprase, Blue Lapis (another fav!), White Topaz, Grey Agate, Labradorite and Moon Stone etc make up the chic assortment. I love the Riva Stick Ring in Lemon Quartz which goes perfectly with my favorite Riva Diamond Cocktail Earrings.

RIVA Collection: RIVA Stick Ring in Lemon Quartz £120  //   Stack Em' !
BAJA Ring Turquoise £130  //   BAJA Collection
 Stack Em' !
Monica Vinader's Baja Collection has some of my favorite rings. This collection plays along strong lines and geometric shapes. With all the glamour of 1920's Art Deco, this is a timeless collection of cocktail and stacking rings along with very elegant gem-set bracelets. I'm in love with the beautiful Green Oxyn ring which looks great in any form - solo or stacked with other rings for that signature look. So does the Lapis ring from the same collection. The details focuses around strong shapes and precision cuts and makes this collection really stand out. You can also create your own unique stack of rings using the Ring Stacker Tool for a more personalised look. This tool helps you stack and preview your favorite combinations before they can make their way to your fingers. Shop the post by visiting and browsing the Monica Vinader website.

So what do you think about the brand? What kind of jewelry do you like?

NOTD | Newspaper Nails

Hi lovelies,

As autumn is setting in, everyone in blogosphere is talking about fall nails and shades of the season. I can see there are beautiful burgundys, terracotta, deep blues and purple nail shades out at this time of the year. But what if you wanted something different? Something understated yet giving you a feel of the changing colors in nature and crisper weather, something that stands out from the rest. Here’s my version of fall 2013 nails.

After much consideration I thought I would start my fall 2013 nails with newspaper nail art. I have chosen a nude, pale pinkish tone base that holds a little shimmer. For me this nude tone represents the evaporation of bright summer hues of salmon pinks, radical reds and fuchsia as autumn arrives slowly.  The shade has faded with the fading colors of nature but there is still time for everything to dehydrate and turn to rust. My inspiration is my candle lit room over a chilly weekend inside my comfy bed with a classic book in my hands. If you are a book lover like myself (who loves collecting books but never has the time to read them!?) these will surely be an inspiration for you as well.

Newspaper nails are really easy to achieve – especially when you follow my instructions.

Things you’ll need
♥ Nail polish (the lighter, the better)
♥ Top coat (I used the wet look top coat)
♥ Newspaper strips (I used the part where there was A LOT of text. Hint: business section lol!)
♥ Solution (Alcohol, perfume, mouthwash, water, hand sanitizer)
♥ Scissors

Newspaper Nails

Step 1: Nail Polish Base
♥ Apply your base nail polish. I applied 2-3 coats to get a good solid color.
♥ Let it COMPLETELY dry. I gave it a good 30 mins.

Step 2: Newspaper Strips
♥ Cut 10 newspaper strips in the size 2” x 2“. Try different fonts and text sizes. I used smaller font for this tutorial. You can even try foreign language newspaper for a more diverse pattern.

Step 3: Newspaper Imprinting
♥ Dip you finger in the solution for 5-10 seconds.
♥ Place the newspaper strip on your nail and press gently. Do not press too hard or you’ll end up with bits of paper on your nails. Don’t worry about the text on the newspaper it will always appear in reverse. Also, if you do this step while your nail polish is still tacky it is going to come off with the newspaper. I waited 30 seconds before I gently removed the newspaper.
♥ Repeat this process for each nail.
♥ Let everything dry. I gave myself good 5-10 mins.

Step 4: Top Coat – seal the deal!
♥ Apply top coat. This will ensure that the ink pattern is sealed on the nails and would also intensify the letters. Again if you’re hasty in applying the top coat you’ll end up with a runny pattern.
♥ Let everything dry & voila!

Newspaper Nails

There are loads of shades you can use as your base color. Even the French manicure base coat works great. I used a pinkish base coat that has the tiniest bit of simmer (not glitter). A lighter shade will make your text appear brighter. However you can always try a darker shade. Avoid glitter nail polish for obvious reasons – text would not emboss on your nail as much as on a smoother surface. Creamy, non-shimmery nail polish texture gives you the best results.

Enjoy the typographic effect on your nails!
