The Sparkler in 'Enchanting Gold' | The Body Shop

Do you still remember the tip I gave you?
What do you do when you hear, read, & see the word "limited edition" with a product?

Yes! Go grab it!

The Body Shop "The Sparkler" in Enchanting Gold

This is The Sparkler - the name says it all! This is a limited edition atomiser by The Body Shop. I was going around in The Body Shop store as usual when I suddenly came across, behold - The Sparkler! So now I need to tell you exactly how I felt when I picked it up.

If you're a BIG fan of True Blood like myself AND have also seen the Season 5 finale can you recall what happened after Eric Northman took Russel Edgington by surprise, stakes him & takes the 1000 year old revenge? Sweet! Sookie runs out of the nightclub onto the fairy field to check onto Jason who's knocked away by fairy light & there Nora shows up too. She catches a whiff of Sookie & is.. oh enthralled! "What is that amazing smell?" Nora chases after Sookie but Eric catches her by hair & makes her swear that she won’t harm or feed on Sookie.

"But I want her.." See the longing, the desire, the thirst in her eyes. *snaps*

Okay that’s EXACTLY how I felt. So this is me in The Body Shop store & I come across The Sparkler & grab it.

Me: "What is this amazing thing?"
Salesperson: 'Maam, bla bla... bla bla bla bla...'
My Mind: 'You definitely do not need this!'
Me: "But I waaannnt it....."

And I was so right. I wanted it, rather NEEDED it. I was planning my trip to London. Never been there before, I had to get this. It was still cold & winters, London was freezing & I was really looking forward to a lot of fun & nights out. What's more dazzling that a sparkle of Enchanting Gold! The Sparkler is a spritz on highlighter & comes in a pretty clear frosted bottle with an atomiser on top. The nozzle has a cap on it to make it more secure.

The Body Shop "The Sparkler" in Enchanting Gold

To be honest, this is one of the finest, most exquisite shimmer powders I've ever come across. Enchanting Gold is a lighter gold shade & comes off really fine. The atomiser ensures an even application without getting it all over your hands & dress, great concept. I had to practice a little to get the right angle for my desired application since I was new to atomisers. It is lightly scented which feels nice & is kind of a surprise. It can be sprayed on face, hair & body. I mostly sprayed it onto my hair & arms for a mysterious hint of shimmer. I kept my makeup matte so that I do not overdo it & attention is drawn to my hair & arms too.

The best thing about The Sparkler is that it’s not loaded with glitter that transfers everywhere & to everything. It's absolutely refined & never goes too glittery. You can control the application & built it up by spraying layer after layer for more intensity. This is a great accessory for any holiday & party season but you can always keep it around for special nights out & dinner dates. The Sparkler in Enchanting Gold adds a touch of luxury & glamour to any outfit on an evening out. I can safely state that its one of my best finds, period.

Burberry Body & Per Una Gabriella | Favorite Fragrances in London

I'm in love with  London....

It was my first time in this awesome urban, metropolitan city but I never liked any other city more than I liked London. I visited London in March when officially the city is "bedecked with early spring blooms". Unfortunately, it was pretty cold & it almost snowed one day! Spring is coming in really slow this time around in London. But that didn't stop us from going around & have a fabulous time!

I love perfumes just as I love London. Perfumes are a part of me & my personality. The are an 'invisible' fashion accessory to me. They define who I am. I have always been into buying perfumes regularly. Most of the times I use one fragrance at a time. I want to do a separate post with my favourite pictures of London but I want to start by appreciating 2 fragrances which keep me smelling sweet & fresh every day & evening I spent in London. These are:

Burberry Body
&
Per Una Gabriella

My Favorite Fragrances in London Burberry BODY & Per Una GABRIELLA

Launched in 2011 Burberry Body captures the iconic spirit of the brand in a striking sensual way. It smells luxurious & woody - just the way I like it.  It's fresh, sweet, classy, elegant, warm-floral, sophisticated. The best thing about it is that its long lasting & comes out bold on 'me'.  Model, actress & Victoria's Secret angel Rosie Huntington Whiteley endorsed this fragrance.  I couldn't help add gorgeous photos of her. The bottle is long, skinny & multi faceted, almost jewel like. I really liked the packaging which is feminine & elegant creating a feel of pure luxury. I mostly wore this fragrance at evenings when I was all dressed up for a fabulous dinner or a musical at Royal Albert Hall

I came across Per Una Gabriella while I was shopping at Westfield. I noticed this immediately at Marks & Spenser's fragrances section with the lovely packaging! First off this can make one of the best gifts. It comes in almost cheetah-like print gift box. The bottle is almost round and chunky. It has the same cheetah print 'scarf' around its neck making it one of the prettiest packaging. The fragrance is a beautiful citrus & white floral notes over a background of rich musk aroma. This fragrance is vibrant & glamorous! I wore this at daytime while I was discovering London.

Both these fragrances add little extra glamour & fun to my days & evenings in London. What a coincidence both of these fragrances are UK brands! I'm still enjoying these back home where spring is in full bloom. These will surely add to the beautiful memory that I have of London.

I can't wait to be there again…

NOTD | Maybelline ColoRama Apple Candy and Wine Shimmer

Spring is here..

At least in my part of the world. Weather is warm & pleasant. Trees are turning green, flowers are blooming in pretty colors. Birds are happier - robins & bluebirds. The air is filled with fragrance of fresh flower buds.

With all this drama taking place around me who cares for soft pastels?! I kicked off Spring with Maybelline Colo Rama's Candy Apple  Wine Shimmer.

Candy Apple  is the perfect red! It's a candy-apple like deep red. You don't need 2 coats, one coat is enough & the brush makes application even easier. The finish is glossy, elegant & ravishing. Wine Shimmer is a lovely raspberry red jelly that includes tiny specks of holographic glitter which are a little spaced out. Perfect for a hint of shimmer. I applied 2 coats of Candy Apple  & topped it off with a single coat of Wine Shimmer.

Both these gorgeous shades are part of Maybelline Colo Rama line & look absolutely beautiful & lively. If you want extra gloss finish off your nails with a single coat of Maybelline Colo Rama Clear Shine top coat like I did.

What do you think? What's your favorite shade this season?
Welcome Spring !

"Beautify Me" Vitamin Complex | Inner Me

Do you take vitamins? I do.
I recently purchased Beautify Me from Boots while I was just looking around.

Beautify Me Vitamin Complex by Inner Me is a beauty supplement for skin, hair & nails. Multi vitamins are good if you want to ensure a balanced vitamin intake especially if your daily routine & eating habits you are not consuming the recommended intake. This comes in a pretty packaging of 2 week's supply. To me Beautify Me Vitamin Complex is an all compassing beauty supplement which help enhance the vitality of your skin, hair & nails.

Beautify Me Vitamin Complex
A well-loved & consumed box of  Beautify Me Vitamin Complex

I've been taking multi vitamins in the past from time to time but this is one supplement with which I saw visible difference in the texture of my skin & hair. My skin looks brighter & more fresh! Beautify Me Vitamin Complex are encased in a really pretty & feminine yet practical package with two trays that slide out in both direction. It's labelled with each day of the two week's supply which is very convenient to follow. I love the artwork on packaging! It has a very pretty sketched girl with long hair & rosy cheeks. It's a very different concept from other brands which usually use real models. This makes the packaging really cute & different.

Beautify Me Vitamin Complex comprises of:

Vitamin C
MSM
Silica
Beta-Carcotene
Marine Collagen
Marine Chondroitin
Biotin
&
Zinc, Copper, Iodine, Selenium (yeast free)

MSM is called the "beauty mineral" due to the way it helps form collagen, elastin, cartilage & keratin - all the elements to make you look glossiest! All these antioxidants protect us from free radicals - the little blighters which damage collagen causing ageing & wrinkles. Biotin helps in maintenance of normal skin & hair. Selenium  helps in maintenance of normal hair & nails. Both ingredients support cell growth.  If you need to check out more on products in this range check the Inner Me website.

Like Beautify Me I also believe that health, beauty  & vitality  all begin 'within'. *deep*

A Cosy, Flaming Romance | Glade Scented Candle

Like a candle
your love shines in my heart...

Glade Relaxing Zen Scented Candle

So you thought Winters were over & it was about to bloom everywhere - think again. If you're someone like me who's suffering-from-the-cold-weather that has hit London recently you might want to consider phychological ways to keep warm too, lol!

I am a big fan of candles, scented or not. I personally see candles as a way to warm up the ambiance of your room & living. They transmit a soothing, calm effect in your surroundings. Most of all, candles are SO ROMANTIC! Candles & scents create the most romantic atmosphere.
Glade Relaxing Zen Scented Candle

This post is not actually an official review of Glade candles but maybe in a way it is. This pretty little jar of wax & wick was a gift from a very very special person. Glade's Relaxing Zen comes in a really pretty jar of greenish-yellow with a pattern around it. Over this pattern it has a swirly gold  pattern going all around it. I placed it on the wall shelf in my room where I usually keep all my jewelry & make up stuff I use frequently.

Once lit the delicate fragrance is released which is mild & not at all overpowering. The little flame melted the wax and set a soft, warm romantic setting. I kept watching it while I was laying in bed with lights down low & couldn't help praising how this tiny glow was helping me unwind. There is something about the dim flickering light of candles which is just plain awesome. Ever wondered why candle light dinners are so romantic? :)

This special candle will forever conjure up beautiful memories in my mind...

The Colossal Volume Express Mascara | Maybelline

Hi Sweethearts,

Today's post is a review of an amazing mascara that I recently tried & absolutely love it. I repurchased it & decided to share a review of it.

Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal "Cat Eyes" Mascara

Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal "Cat Eyes" Mascara

For lashes that look:
Flicked Out!
Fierce!
Get Gorgeous Volume.

First off - I love the packaging. It's a pretty bright yellow that really stands out on the counters.  It has little leopard spots on the top making it look cute & cat-like. I opted for the washable mascara in Glam Black. Once I opened the packaging I loved loved loved the curvy wand - like a claw. It's not just curvy it's also thin which makes it easier for more controlled application as compared to thicker ones. The wand is spiky all over.

Why You'll Love It
Colossal lashes go fully feline in one stroke.
Lush collagen formula & claw brush fill out lashes upto 8 x the volume with fablous cat-like corners instantly.
Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal "Cat Eyes" Mascara
Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal "Cat Eyes" Mascara

I always get washable mascaras. I never liked waterproof mascaras, maybe because this one time I tried a waterproof mascara and it just wouldn't come off! Even with a makeup remover. And ended up ruining my eyelashes. Therefore I just like something with comes off easily. I opted for the washable one and applied the mascara with the so-convenient claw brush working against the lashes and sweeping from roots to tip. The application is so smooth! The curvy brush makes it so easy to apply mascara from inner corners of the eyes to outer. Like I mentioned earlier, you'll notice that the wand is thin as compared to other mascaras. This makes application control so easy for you. It helps you get some mascara on the inner lashes of the eyes too.
Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal "Cat Eyes" Mascara

Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal "Cat Eyes" Mascara is going to add tons of volume to your lashes especially if you have thin & small lashes like myself. It fits in really nicely underneath my eyelashes and makes it so easy to sweep it up from the base of my eyelashes to the tips. It also helps you work with your lashes really swiftly. The best part about this mascara is that it add that "Cat Eyes" effect to your lashes by curling your outer most lashes in a certain way. If you repeatedly sweep your lashes outwards you'll have that sexy cat eyes effect to your eyes. My lashes felt nice & soft.

Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal "Cat Eyes" Mascara
For me this is one of the best mascaras. It's a fun mascara with a really affordable price tag. This was the second time I purchased it and I couldn't help sharing a review.  If you come across this definitely give it a try.

Have you tried this mascara yet?

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 'Pink Blossom'

Hi Sweethearts,
After using the Kate Moss 103 Lasting Finish Matte I really wanted to try something else from this brand, since I loved the quality of Rimmel's products & also that these have really convenient price tags. My next purchase from Rimmel:

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 'Pink Blossom'

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 'Pink Blossom'

I have the most challenging skin - combination! This means my T-zone is oily most of the times. I'm always looking for something which keeps my T-zone matte! This time I tried Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in the shade 'Pink Blossom'.
The first thing I like about this pressed powder is that it's a really good product with an affordable price tag. It comes in 14 g pull off lid container. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder is perfect for a matte finish. I use it with a kabuki brush all over my face with more emphasis on T-zone. If, like myself, you prefer pressed powder with light coverage this is THE ONE for you. It might 'look' heavy in the container but is pretty transparent once you apply it to your skin. However, you can built it up a little layer by layer. The finish is matte & smooth with no shine.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder comes in 5 shades.

Transparent
Pink Blossom
Peach Glow
Sandstorm
Silky Beige
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 'Pink Blossom'
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 'Pink Blossom'
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 'Pink Blossom'

If you're using a liquid foundation underneath you'll see an amazing flawless matte finish to your skin. I personally think it goes better with liquid foundations than with cream/mousse foundations. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder promises 5 hours of natural shine control with minerals. Since I have a really shiny T-zone it did a good job keep it matte for at least 3 hours straight. The only downside with this product is that it might set into your fine lines & creases if you overdo it.
Overall, its a quality product worth a try.
Have you tried Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder yet?
