L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash | Lolita 101

Hi lovely ladies,

Christmas is around the corner which apparently means shop-till-you-drop. When it comes to cosmetics, I'm not a lip gloss girl. Though I love glossy lips and the glamour they add to your face I still prefer matte lipsticks for nights out and formal events because of their non-messy, long lasting staying power. Lately I'm more into lip stains than lipsticks. Lip glosses just don't 'stick' to my lips, they will start dripping down my lower lip line (Any tips you want to suggest?). Moreover, I tend to bite my lips a lot and all the time, bad habits. Because of their light texture lip glosses would disappear faster than lipsticks. Not to forget how much they love your hair especially on a windy day.

But nevertheless I am always on the hunt for that perfect texture in lip glosses - non sticky, light and fresh.

Enter L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash Lolita 101. What a beautiful texture! I instantly fell in love with it. It the perfect lip gloss that acts like a stain. First off the packaging is sleek with a mirror finish which is far better than any other drugstore brand. The range consists of eight beautiful shades out of which I picked Lolita 101.

This seems to be the perfect pink based mauve-nude shade for me, something which can be applied over my lipstick and has a sheer finish. The texture is fresh, water based and not at all sticky. First application is hydrating and sinks into my lips giving you a barely-there finish. My lips feel buttery as long as I have it on my lips. I put another coat so that the beautiful shade is visible. Depending on your original lip color the shade might vary like in my case. It looks more pinkish than nude. That is totally okay with me. You might find it a bit sticky in the beginning but with time it will smooth out beautifully on your lips. The 30% water based formula works wonders and would not give you the regular messy lips gloss feel. With up to six hours of lasting time it is absolutely meant to stay on your lips hence I do not have to worry about my lips while I enjoy my coffee.

Another thing that I totally adore about this product is the feather soft wand. The wand has a tear-drop shape and matches the contours of your lips. This makes the application so easy and flawless. Did I mention -these smell amazing! Not only does L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash feels good on your lips, it smells divine. I am not sure if I will ever go back to the normal lip gloss ever after having tried these. You might say the range of shades is limited but if you manage to like one of the shades, like in my case the eight shades seem plenty.

Final verdict - I love glossy stains!

Have you given these a try? How did you find these?

  3. I'm pretty sure I tried this a year ago or so and I wand is actually so great. I'm with you on lipgloss though, I've never really been into it and the stickiness of some freaks me out xxxx
